We offer a large range of gate designs within our Steel and Aluminium Gate ranges. Our Steel Gates are bespoke
manufactured by a company who work specifically on gates and
have many years of experience including automation of Gates.
This means that they are manufactured to a higher
specification and specifically designed for automation.
Aluminium Gates are a bit more of a new thing
to the UK but becoming more and more specified. We have access
to Aluminium Gate manufacturers who can provide gates in many
styles of swing and sliding configuration. Aluminium Gates
provide a lighter gate option with a finish that will be good
for years.
LSC Gates & Barriers have installed multiple Aluminium Gates
over our time in the industry. This puts us in a better place
than most installers as our experience is second to none.
Timber Gates can be automated using the
correct equipment but they do need to be designed correctly
for automation purposes. LCS have access to many manufacturers
of timber gates all of whom make great gates. Depending on
your specific requirements will decide where we purchase your
Gates from.
Timber Gates are a "live" thing and they do
expand and contract during the seasons. Ideally, we recommend
that all gates are manufactured from hard wood to keep this
movement to a minimum. Our preference being Iroko hard wood
giving a beautiful finish. We also recommend that the gates
are finished with an oil. This is the easiest way to keep them
looking great and takes much less time to refinish at a later
date. There are however many other options for finish which
can be completed.
Other hardwood Timber is available should you decide that you
want to paint the gates. Ask us about options when we complete
the site survey for your installation.
We can provide safety reports on existing Electric Gates and barriers, with follow up estimates to bring them into line with current legislation. We look at the best solution for your individual system and not just the easiest or cheapest. The system has to be user friendly as well as safe and reliable!
Safety of all automated systems is paramount. With specific
legislations in place that are the law to follow. We use many
different types of safety device to provide full compliance. We
need access to all manufacturers of safety equipment to ensure
that our installations are as safe as possible.

Safety beams are a single beam device which is usually used across the outside of the system. They are a non-contact device but provide minimal protection. They are the minimum requirement when used in conjunction with force limitation, subject to there being no additional residual risk areas. Safety beams are a non-contact safety device.

Safety edges are black rubber contact strips which are available in a multitude of sizes. These contact strips use a resistive strip internally which wires back to a specific controller and then subsequently your control board. These safety edges cause the system to reverse direction on contact. The whole of the safety edge system needs to be tested to ensure that it is category 3 compliant (constantly tested) or category 2 (tested before use). Safety edges are a contact safety device.
Light curtains work in a similar way to the safety beam
listed above. The big difference is that they project many
beams across the entrance. This means that an object is
impossible to miss. They can be used to protect areas of
risk on sliding gates and are extremely useful when used in
front of railings. Installation between the gate and
railings protects against the shearing risk between them and
is not visible.
Light curtains are a non-contact safety device.
Lasers are one of the latest devices to come into the
industry. They are fitted in a high location on the gate and
send out three curtains from a specific position. The laser
then picks up any object which enters the curtains causing
the system to stop or reverse dependent on how it is set up.
They protect from ground level up to the installed height of
the unit. Once set up the prevent any objects coming into
contact with the moving gate.
Lasers are a non-contact safety device.
Safety is never as easy as just installing your system with
all the above products. A risk assessment is required for
every installation and that risk assessment helps to decide
which safety devices are required, and most suitable for the
installation. Obviously the more electronic safety devices
fitted to a system, the more chance of failure it has.
Correct specification and installation can prevent years of
frustrations with a non-working system. Force testing must
be completed on all new installations and if the install has
been completed from the ground up a certificate of
conformity must be provided. For more information please

LCS Gates & Barriers Ltd can offer a full installation service for Telguard products. We are proud to offer a fully UK manufactured product finished in marine grade stainless steel to look great and have a two-year warranty.
Having a Telguard installed on your entrance provides you with
an intercom that can contact you anywhere. The system uses a GSM
sim card allowing the unit to call any pre programmed phone
number. One call button can be programmed to call consecutive
numbers. This means it can call your property landline and if
not answered it can then call mobile phone 1, mobile phone 2 etc
until the call is answered. Please note that any call received
by an answerphone will be classed as completed and not forward
to the next number.
The latest Telguard units have additional features such as the
built in timer, backlit buttons, SMS alerts, additional relay
outputs and dial to open. The dial to open feature means that
pre programmed phone numbers are set up and when they call the
units phone number a specific relay is triggered. The call to
the unit is cut off once the system is triggered and no costs
are charged to the caller.
Additional features are available on the latest range of
Telguards. Please ask for more information and feel free to ask
for things not currently available. The programming and set up
of these units can be changed and we are always looking to feed
back good ideas to the manufacturer.

Telguards come in many different styles dependent on the requirements of the site. With twelve different telephone based versions along with the Telpad keypad, wireless one to one and GSM Dialler there is an option for every situation.
Telguard has been around since 1992 and there are many older
units still in use on sites. These units need to be upgraded
to ensure that they can continue to be programmed. In cases
of older units, it may be possible to replace the internal
components to allow the system to be upgraded. In other
cases the complete unit may need to be replaced. The final
decision on what can be done is always dependent on the age
of the unit and its design.

any issues that occurs with your Telguard
Programming changes can be made in a selection of different
ways.
End users with units of up to ten call points (buttons) can
make changes to call points and codes using a mobile phone
and tablet application. For systems with more than ten call
points end users can make changes by use of text messages
sent to the unit.
LCS are able to offer an onsite programming service to make
any changes required.
Off site programming can also be completed using the
incoming phone line to the unit. This can be completed
within 24 to 48 hours of request.
As standard all Telguard units come complete with a two year
manufacturers warranty. This includes any programming
changes.
The warranty can be extended after the original two years.
Details and costs for extending the warranty are provided
once the original warranty comes to an end.
digiGate provides App Control for Automated Gates, Barriers and Garage doors. digiGate is a small smart device that connects to your system. Control your device with the smartphone app, tablet, computer and even a phone call.
Installing a digiGate system enables you to control your device from anywhere in the world, removing the need for traditional remotes. The digiGate system can have unlimited user accounts and the app is free to download on iOS and Android devices.

digiGate has full access control capabilities, all easily remotely administered via the apps. Full access: 24/7 access. One-off access: Access on a certain date, between 2 times or between 2 dates. Restricted regular access: Limited access between certain times on certain weekdays, every week.
digiGate can automatically open and close your device up to 3 times per day with the built-in weekday timer. There is also a calendar feature which can open the gate on any given date between set times. Holiday mode can be activated on digiGate to temporarily disable any set automatic timings.
The digiGate mobile apps enable users to easily latch open the gate for any desired time up to 24hrs. This comes in useful with deliveries or other times you need the gate open for longer than the default time. Closing the gate and cancelling the latch timer is as simple as pressing the close button on the mobile app.
Every action performed on the digiGate is recorded on an easily accessible 30 day rolling log. Whether it’s opening the gate at 7am for 10 minutes with the mobile app or an unauthorised user trying to call the gate at 12pm, it’s all recorded. The log is accessed via the mobile app and integrated web app where a PDF version is available to download.
The digiGate mobile app enables you to set the location of your gate on a map and create a trigger radius surrounding this where when entered, the gates will open. The GPS function must be enabled before each return journey and automatically disables itself after triggering.
Every digiGate system is compatible with the optional GSM USB dongles which enable you to open the gate with a phone call. The call is cut off after being received, meaning no charge to the caller or digiGate system. Authorised phone numbers are easily administered via the apps and digiGate also features a bulk upload feature where multiple numbers can be added via a spreadsheet. The dongles support a full size SIM card and are unlocked to any network
The digiGate mobile apps are fully integrated with Flic Bluetooth buttons (www.Flic.io). The buttons connect to your mobile phone and enable you to set up to 3 digiGate actions based on a button press, double press or hold. Flic Bluetooth buttons are great to have in a car or in the home where you want to open your gate without having to touch a mobile device.
The digiGate system is always being enhanced with software updates containing new features. These updates are free forever. Internet Access digiGate connects to the Internet via 3 methods: Ethernet, WiFi or the GSM Dongle combined with a SIM card preloaded with a mobile data plan.
Installation of the device is as simple as connecting the
unit to a power supply and the device to be controlled.
Costs for installation vary dependent on the location of the
property an the system the unit is being connected to. The
unit itself has a standard cost of £299.00 + VAT. If
